On July 8th we had a great message on community and how the Body of Christ is to come together and support one another. We were able to watch a video of a young lady from the Sudan who was truly suffering for Christ. Her one prayer request was "remember us." I don't mean for this to be a post that beats you or guilts you into something. But we are to remember those who are persecuted and are in chains all for the glory of Christ. Hebrews 13:3 "Remember the prisoners as if chained with them--those who are mistreated--since you yourselves are in the body also."

Let us remember those who are in chains. Go out and serve someone in the Love of Christ. Let us be a people who prays.

Retreat

What an awesome retreat! It was such a blessing to do just that, retreat and be with Jesus. There was good fellowship and good food. It ran so smoothly...and there were some amazing teachers. Here are some pictures from the weekend...

It was so nice to see ladies fellowshipping together. We had an awesome group of people who came and led us in worship and some great examples in the scriptures about men who listened for the Lord's voice. The food was great and the conversation was even better. It was nice to get back into the swing of things and see the excitement the ladies had to be back together. These past few days of Ice storms, snow, freezing winds have taken a toll on our little community. Some people are still without power. But It has been a blessing to see the body of Christ pull together. I have heard so many stories of PWOC women/families opening up their homes, offering prayer, serving dinnners and well, just serving eachother. We are excited to be meeting this Thursday after waiting out this storm. It willl be good to see all the ladies come together and encourage one another and have a sweet time of fellowship. See you all there!!!

The first day of class was exciting. It was nice to see all the ladies come together in worship and then fellowship over some good food. Once everyone got to there classes and had settled in, a silence filled the air. Everyone was ready to learn about the study we would be heading into this semester. There is just an overall excitement, a glow in the eyes of the women to grow closer to eachother and to our Savior. We are excited! The Lord is doing a mighty work and we women at PWOC are proud to be a part of it.

Kick-Off

Kick-off was AMAZING!!! It is so encouraging to see so many ladies fellowship and draw near to the Lord together. Worship was a blessing, meeting the board was fun and going over the outline of our study and meeting all the care group teachers was a blast. So, much fun it just made you wanna do a toe touch :) We're looking forward to all that the Lord has in store for this semester as we go through His word and apply it to our lives.

Conference Was Amazing

Once things got going at conference, they just kept going. The time passed far too quickly, but the time spent with our Lord was amazing.

The main group arrived just in time to quickly change shirts and get to the dining facility to eat. A small walk across the street to the main hall brought on roll call, announcements, and a wonderful praise and worship time.

For those not attending this weekend, we miss you and wish you were here. The conference center is secluded, God centered, and a place to truly reflect on the things that are important. The fellowship has been wonderful and the workshop schedule is jam packed. Stories and experiences will be shared when everyone comes home.

Four of us headed out yesterday as the advance prayer team and after much laughter, eating, prayers, and even getting lost (just for a bit), we arrived at Windemere around 3:00 and hit the ground running.

Tonight we will kick off and keep on going until Sunday.
